the ruination of my bridesmaids dresses contributed to me taking up sewing seriously. "it can't be that hard", i thought as i looked through the mess of clothing the seamstress returned to me. i was correcting the botched job of the single shoulder trains. can't remember if i cried (this was less than 2 weeks before my wedding). i mailed out the clothes to the girls (3/5 were out of town, va doesn't count =) hoping their neighborhood drycleaners would do a better job. i should have taken that one bbb complaint i saw seriously. the way i approached the complaint was that you can't possibly satisfy everybody but my new mode of thinking is if you can't, at least try to rectify the situation to a point where the customer won't think of taking action against you. i added my own complaint and now it's up to two. i hope more people come forward and voice their complaints/ concerns. this is a lesson for me. always try to meet the customer's needs and if you can't, try to appease them!

luckily for the uber-fab fabrics i bought from thai silks, the errors were not noticable, only to the discerning/ critical eyes (like mine). my girls carried it like they were wearing million dollar outfits making it even more fabulous! there's a train that falls from the shoulders of each gown that mimics my gown.
fabrics:
copper/ burgundy paisley silk charmeuse
burgundy silk charmeuse for the waist band
burgundy silk habotai for the lining
